This
will be Jason’s fourth season coaching, and his second year teaching
at SJJ. This past summer concluded the successful inaugural year of
St. John’s Jesuit Academy where he is a full-time math teacher for
both the 7th and 8th grades.
Previously, Jason played both
varsity and club hockey for Miami of Ohio while working towards a
Bachelor’s of Science in Middle Childhood Education which he earned
in 2002. In addition, Jason coached two seasons of club hockey for
the Red Hawks while pursing a Master’s degree in Sports
Administration as a graduate assistant. A seasoned speaker for USA
Hockey Coaches’ clinics, Jason’s hockey experience also extends to
summer hockey schools where, after ten years, he continues to travel
the Midwest working Miami’s School, Defensemen Specialty Camps, and
Checking/Scoring Specialty Camps as both director and coach.
In addition to his
current coaching responsibilities, Jason will take a focus on the
SJJ blue-liners where he will promote skating and individual skill
development.
Jason’s involvement
with the St. John’s family also extends, in house, to the St. John’s
Jesuit Academy, where he is a full time math teacher for both the
7th and 8th grades. Jason and his wife, Betsy, reside in Toledo,
Ohio. |
