Previous to coaching at SJJ, Mike served as a coach in the SMAHL travel program for four years. His teams experienced a lot of success over those four seasons including a Little Caesar’s championship and a Regional Silver Sticks title. He also led a Bantam A travel team (7th and 8th graders) to a victory over Anthony Wayne’s Varsity team in 2003. He is still heavily involved in USA Hockey. He received his bachelor’s degree in Communications.
“Hockey is a passion to me. Growing up, hockey helped forge several lifelong friendships, experiences and great memories. Being the coach at SJJ, I want to help the players that play here get that same opportunity. That, and win a state championship every year!”
Mike is married to Rita who is the Director of Admissions at St. John's Jesuit. Mike and Rita have one daughter, Mia. Mike currently is a Vocational Specialist/Job Developer at Harbor in Toledo. |
